We are instructed by Professor Stephen Hawking, Dr Colin Hutchinson, Professor Allyson Pollock, Professor Sue Richards and Dr Graham Winyard in a proposed judicial review of the Secretary of State for Health and NHS England's introduction of non-NHS bodies to run health and social services without proper public consultation and full Parliamentary scrutiny. These non-NHS bodies, called “Accountable Care Organisations” could be given “full responsibility” for NHS and adult social services. Further details on the case can be found at https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/jr4nhs-round2/
We are regularly instructed by professional clients, including other solicitors, who require expert advice on environmental, planning or information law.
We provide advice on environmental aspects of property and corporate transactions and can support your in-house team as required. This can include advice on environmental searches, drafting and amending clauses, due diligence or environmental risk management and insurance.
As a niche firm specialising in environmental, planning and public law, we are able to offer high quality collaborative advice to professional clients at reasonable rates. We are happy to provide either direct or ‘white label’ advice.
We acted in a corporate transaction for a buyer of an industrial site. The site had a history which spanned a range of environmental laws on environmental permitting, land contamination and the regulation of Packaging Waste and Producer Responsibility. Working alongside their regular law firm we handled the environmental aspects of the transaction including the environmental due diligence, warranty and indemnity negotiating and negotiated an environmental insurance policy.
